The Only Class You'll Ever Want to Be in : The "MASTER" Class
One hour. One hour to you'd-better-do-well-or-else scrutiny. One hour till everything I've worked for for the last twenty one years comes to fruition. Okay, perhaps that's a touch overdramatic. I'm sitting here in a bathrobe, eying my mug of stale...

Bush Is Bad: The Alaskan Beauty Queen Edition (A Partisan Musical.)

In one of the preliminary steps toward AFTRA and SAG resuming joint negotiating for a new series of commercials contracts, the two estranged unions will hold informational sessions explaining the results of a comprehensive study of the advertising industry. The Pumpkin Pie Show Returns
Fresh off their summer tour, the award winning The Pumpkin Pie Show will return to New York City from October 16-November 1 at Under St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place) for their their 10th annual performance. I have never seen The Pumpkin Pie show, but the press release described the experience as follows: "A rigorous storytelling session packed with enough intensity to feel like a rock concert rather than a bedtime tale. Filled with tales of the bizarre, dark, and perverted, The Pumpkin Pie Show is bedtime stories for adults." Certainly sounds up my alley! Stay tuned for a BlogStage...

Chris Martin, Slick Rick and m.i.a. M.I.A.
Hypothetical for you here: If U2 and Radiohead are both on vacation at the same time, do some other musicians have to sidle up to that "best band in the universe" title? Chris Martin says so. But he was kidding....

What if you stripped away the aggressive military-precision multimillion-dollar campaigns, the industry buzz, the pressure to Say Something Timely, and The Harvey Weinstein Factor. What would you have? Not Oscar season, that's for sure. A number of people, notably Spike...

Michelle Obama meets 'The Daily Show'
Does this mean Cindy McCain will be stopping by "The Colbert Report?" Not likely. She's probably still stinging from the sit-down with those broads at "The View" who tore into her and hubby/presidential candidate John McCain a few weeks back....

Docu man takes on Boogie Man
It's a tale much like "The Talented Mr. Ripley," with political assassinations instead of actual murders, that follows the life and death of an unlikely operative who mentored Karl Rove, helped get Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush elected, and...

Sky falling, Oscar movies following
Grab a stiff drink -- it's 5 o'clock somewhere and it's world-gone-to-hell-in-a-hand-basket time everywhere -- and listen to the predictions of the trend spotters who gave us the dreaded terms metrosexual and cocooning. Financial collapse, ongoing wars, tainted food, natural...
